Africare Donates To Less Fortunate Kids in Nimba

By Wellington Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, May 30 (LINA) – Africare, an international NGO, has donated a consignment of relief and recreational materials to less fortunate children in Nimba County.

Presenting the items to the Nimba County Health Team last Wednesday, the NGO’s Social Welfare Coordinator Joseph Tenneh said the materials are intended for vulnerable children at the eight orphanages in the county and the Ganta Leprosy Rehabilitation Camp.

He explained that the donation was intended to help meet the social needs of less fortunate children.

Materials donated include jean trousers, bed sheets and under-wears, and recreational materials such as checker boards, LUDOs and footballs.

Receiving the relief items, the County Health Team head, thanked Africare for the donation and promised to use the items for the intended purpose.
